Jackson Hole Dog Sledding Adventure

What a great bunch of people! From the time Kevin picked us up at our hotel until he dropped us back off at the end of the day, we totally enjoyed ourselves.The Heart 6 Ranch is a great “base camp” to experience many outdoor adventures. For us, it was to fulfill one of my wife’s desires to take a dog sled ride. Justin took really great care of her and made sure she had a memorable experience. I know some reviewers have be critical of both the quality of their experience at Heart 6 Ranch, and the “gruffness” of the staff, but keep in mind this ranch is located in a somewhat barren area that requires people with toughness and grit to make sure that the visitors have a good time. I can overlook a little roughness around the edges after I saw how hard these people work. And unlike rides at Disney World, these experiences are somewhat controlled by nature and the weather. As long as the staff were doing their best to provide us with a quality experience, I’m willing to overlook a few less than perfect details. Next time we’re in the Jackson area, we will be back to Heart 6 Ranch to explore the other adventures they offer.

Memorable late winter dog sled, first time experience with friends. Enjoyed views, interaction with dogs and mushers at beginning and dnd of trip. Friendly and professional. Furbaby hugs and pats for great job.

Heart 6 is very deceiving. You only dog sled about 20 minutes. It very muddy and unorganized. They hurry for you to leave. If you want to ride dog sled, spend the extra money, and do a better experience.

Justin took extra effort to make this special. Relaxing and fun - the musher and dogs do all the work.

Just to have the experience, I am grateful for. However it was a bit misleading. I thought we'd see parts of the national Park or even the tetons, but they were a bit far away. We only rode around basically the front yard of the ranch. I wasn't riding for more than 20 mins. Didn't get going till after 1pm, which was my time. 2 dogs had to be changed out before we started and then we had to stop multiple times to let the other sled team with a family get ahead of us. I got to meet the dogs afterwards, learnt heir names and what not. If you have the money to not worry about spending 200$, do it for the experience. Just don't expect to get the 45 min ride as advertised or see anything. Also bring safety glasses or goggles. When the dogs get running, you're battered with snow and ice coming off their paws. Nearly impossible to keep your eyes open. Then again, the warm weather doesn't help and that snow wasnt as pact as it should be for that. Make sure to bring cash for a tip. I did not, but luckily my guide had cash app. Still deserve a tip! Show up early and grab yourself a bite at their lovely 100 year+ old cafe. Not the biggest menu, but my burger was on point!

It was supposed to be approximately one hour of dog sledding, it was only 25 minutes sledding. I complained to the operator that it was deceptive advertising. They offered a wagon ride to make up, but we were not interested in wagon ride because we did the wagon ride somewhere. I want a partial refund. I feel cheated by what you advertised. $398 for 25 minutes ride is wrong!

This was an incredible experience for my family and I! Having been dog sledding many time, this was one of our fav! BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY dogs, friendly staff and adorable pups made my children and I SO happy!! It was a beautiful afternoon!

So our guide was great. He did his job. However the tour itself is a joke. We stayed on the sled for 19 minutes. The tour says 45 minutes. We had a pack of dogs that had to even rest on a 19 minute ride. You get in a horse pasture and ride in a big circle. Again the guide was fine, but this is a massive waste of money just for a photo. Book in advance for a better tour. This is on Viator for saying we are on the sled 45 minutes. Also a sleigh ride was not even mentioned

Absolute incredible experience! Justin was a great host! The day was perfect and the dogs were so much fun! It was very scenic and I couldn't ask for a better time! It's a very family friendly ride too!
